Set Saudi crude-production policy and speak for the Kingdom in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC+.
Recommend output cuts or increases that, if the Crown Prince and cabinet back them, move the global oil balance.
Coordinate with Russia and other OPEC+ partners on quotas and compensation for overproduction.
Shape domestic energy mix (oil, gas, nuclear, renewables) under Vision 2030.

This office cannot

Order other OPEC+ members to comply. Quotas are bargains; cheating is a recurring fact.
Set the oil price as a number. Spare capacity, U.S. shale, and demand shocks still intervene.
Ignore the Crown Prince (Mohammed bin Salman) as the Kingdom’s principal on security and fiscal strategy.
Reopen the Strait of Hormuz if a war closes it. Saudi policy then becomes about remaining barrels, not cartel management.
